I'm in favour of Gays adopting orphans and homeless children so they live constructive lives too contributing to society, but should they use surrogate pregnancy to have their ';own'; babies? What is the point of them being gay then, if they want to procreate? Should gay couples be allowed to use surrogate pregnancy?
We're gay because we're attracted to our own gender, that is the ';point';. Some, but not me, still want to be parents and should be allowed to however they choose to achieve it.

Gays SHOULD be allowed to do anything straight people can.
the majority should not be allowed to usurp the rights of the minority.
that is built into the constitution PROP 8 has ignored it but a constitutional appeal should fix it once and for all.
I think.....this also relate to straight people who don't want to adopt.
It involves with their ego of having children with their own DNA. Everybody have their own ego.

If it were, then we should make a new rule:

Hm, people are gay because they happen to love and are attracted to the same sex not solely because they do not want babies. Babies has nothing to do with the context of being gay/lesbian.
I think its sad that there still refering to people in groups or based on beliefs.Where all human and should ALL be intitled to the same rights.
You use the word ';allowed'; in your question. Allowed does not apply here because if they find a female who is willing to be impregnated with sperm and carry it to term for them, then that is the business of the two prospective parents and the surrogate.
There is no law on the books that prevent this, that I know of.
The point is we don't love the opposite sex as we do with our partners of the same gender? and this way we can have a biological child without having to sleep with someone we don't find attractive. I guess that's hard to explain to some straight people who just sleep with anything that has a pulse and doesn't claim to be gay...
